arrival to your hotel in Prado del Rey
Starting with ease to get to know our horses, the first hour of terrain is flat and we can try our horses in all paces in the surrounding fields. We will stop for a picnic lunch in nature and end on the edge of the cork forests, where we see these extraordinary trees before we reach the old roman salt flats Iptuci, where salt in summer is still harvested with handicraft methods like two-thousand years ago.
We go on along holly oaks and cattle farms to the neighbour village El Bosque, where we visit the old water mill, which is still working. Our picnic break will be under oak trees with amzing views on the mountains. The horses will stay half way to Zahara de la Sierra, while we go on to our hotel in this pintoresque village.
On we go, along the bed of a little river (dry in summer), with ancient oak trees and pink oleander, After that we cross an olive grove , the now predominant tree, while we approach Zahara de la Sierra. Picnic depending on the season on the river bank or under olive trees. After that we approach our final climb to the village, and follow the shore of the lake for another hour before the horses drive back home and we get back to our hotel for this night.
Departure after breakfast, or the optional day trip to the stunning white Town Ronda with incredible views on the cliff and gorge.
We can be back on time if you want to enjoy a free afternoon in the village or in the hotel pool
